For fans of Dean & Castiel's profound bond

In lieu of a Sunday roundup - since I have no content to roundup - here's some more info for you guys about the communities that have started cropping up. I also want to make a little caveat right here to start with about being realistic about this and other platforms.

Things are very slow to evolve and settle down in its various places around the net. I blame that on
a) tumblr isn't going away, it's just going to become more frustrating posting there and it's going to nuke a lot of existing content. So people are becoming complacent.
b) people (like me) have barely started to back up their content. I need to start my new computer in order to have enough space to download mine, and I still need to have time dig through the meta posts I've made which are behind a cut, because they don't download intact, which is a fun kind of nightmare to have
c) it's the holiday period and it's a nightmare enough as it is, especially if you work in retail like I do
d) people aren't sure where fandom is going to, and they're spreading their investment (and given how much content we've all produced, you can't back that up on four sites at once all at the same time).

I've spoken to lots of artists and writers about this. I know that the lack of reblogging here on DW is an issue for some people, but I also quite like it because I only need to see content once, and in chronological order. If I like an artist's stuff, I can go and view their blog, or browse a gallery on Deviantart or Artstation at a click. If I was able to spend all the time I spend scrolling past gif sets I'd already seen thirty times already instead commenting on those gif sets straight to the creator, I think I'd feel more in touch with fandom than I have done on tumblr. I'd like to be more in touch with fandom. I'd like to leave more comments. Scrolling reblogs is exhausting.

Be patient with people. It'll settle eventually, even if it means we all pack up our toys and go elsewhere. Encourage community wherever you're at. I know it means making an investment of your own, but without it, nobody will think you're serious about your destination. That includes posting content to share it here when you have a moment. But if you don't have time right now that's completely understandable! Heaven knows two weeks is far from enough time to coordinate a response.

thedestiel is a group community for all your Destiel related stuff, spoilers etc, it's run by @deaneatscake on tumblr and is gonna be great!
supernatural  is a news comm for SPN content/news that we're sort of retaking nbd
allfordestiel will be posting weekly roundups of Destiel content from all the Destiel related comms and maybe from elsewhere on the net as well (where needed). If you have Destiel news you can submit it!
destielfic if for posting your fic recs, podfics, fics, codas, and chapter updated. Every week I'll be putting all of that together into a roundup, and it will be added to the allfordestiel roundup as well.
destielart for posting art, graphics, icons etc. I'll be doing roundups of this comm too. That means if you only want to access Destiel graphic or fic content you can follow either comm, both, or just allfordestiel where you can get a combined content feed. You can set up a feed then that will automatically send a digest of Destiel content straight to your phone when new content is added to the comm. Useful, right? No scrolling to see if there's something new on tumblr!
wincest is a comm for just wincest content, just as it says on the tin.
allspnships is a multishipping comm where you can share your content about all spn ships, obviously.
supernatural_meta is a comm for posting your supernatural meta, gif meta, starting discussion on meta topics, linking meta you think might be well related, such as ratings or discussion about CW shows and representation. Anything relevant! It's hopefully where you'll find all the big names from the tumblr meta community spamming in multiple comments about beer labels.
spn_crowley is for fans of Crowley, obviously!
spn_kink_meme This is still hosted on LJ at the moment, but you can always subscribe to the comm and show them that you'd be interested in a DW replacement?
weekendwritingmarathon is planning to coordinate its 1ks somehow, and the best way to keep in touch with how that's going to be done is to follow the comm. It motivates a lot of writers, so well worth jumping into.

If you're unsure whether you can post something here, post a comment asking and I'll let you know whether it's suitable for this comm or not! Every week (Sunday tentatively) there will be a Destiel roundup of content from all three comms posted here on allfordestiel.

The requirement for content here is simple: if it requires a content warning, a spoiler warning, or is NSFW, it should be under a cut with the appropriate warnings visible. Please let people know where your links go to (so they're not spoopy), and make sure the content you're linking to isn't private. All NSFW content should also be marked 18+ in the "Age Restriction" check box below.

1. Be nice!
You'll find that this is the #1 rule over on DW, if you don't like something you can always scroll by, leave the comm and go elsewhere, or be forced to do so if you treat other users badly. Spam and doxxing is not tolerated.

2. Concrit is not a right
It's assumed that no content producer wants concrit unless they actually mention it in their post. If you leave nasty comments you may be breaking rule #1, but also your commentary can and will be deleted either by a moderator or the content producer.

3. Please follow the posting guidelines
Mods will give you a warning if you don't follow the posting guidelines. This includes reasonably tagging your content

4. NSFW content
Is welcomed! But please put the body of your post behind a cut! You can post NSFW banners or previews but these should be censored appropriately and the Age Restriction should be set to 18+. This is just to make the community is a safe for public spaces scrolling environment.

5. Joining the comm
Currently joining the comm is unmoderated, if only because I wanted to make things easier for people using the site for the first time. This will change if/when it becomes necessary.

Self promotion
Please feel free to leave links to your patreon, redbubble, ko-fi etc when you post. A discreet link is okay. Spamming is not. Maybe try a site like Linktree if you need to link to more than one option.
